How Does the Heartland Goodies & Gifts Spring Fundraiser Work?

  • Request your Brochures. Get excited and request your brochures today, or sign up for a virtual-only fundraiser by calling us at 860-384-3691. We can handle the sales agreement for you. We'll send out a brochure, order form, and collection envelope for each of your participants so they can rally their family, friends, and neighbors to make purchases. In addition to cash sales, we offer an easy electronic payment option for your supporters. 

  • Participant Letter—We will customize a participant letter to include everything they will need, including your fundraising purpose, goal, closing date, to whom to make checks payable (if applicable), and the contact for any participant questions. The letter will also include registration steps, the online store URL, your Group ID, tips for promoting the fundraiser via email, text, and social media, and instructions for your customers to place orders. Your letter will make it super easy to generate excitement and sales! Set your fundraising goals high and encourage your members to reach out to everyone! 

  • Fundraising Goals - Review your goals with your members and set a minimum number of items for each participant to sell. In addition to sharing the brochure with co-workers, friends, and family, we suggest asking your participants to email 30-40 contacts, send texts, and post on all available social media channels to encourage direct purchases from the seller and/or to share the link to purchase online. Supporters can pay your organization by cash, check, or Cash App. You choose. We also provide electronic payment by phone.

  • Promoting your Online Fundraising Store: With our online store, your organization can maximize profits by offering hundreds of items and options. We'll set up your account, assign a Group ID, and provide a dashboard for real-time progress tracking! Online sales will make it easy for your participants to contact their family and friends locally and nationwide. Your chairperson will invite participants to register as sellers by directing them to the online store, entering their Group ID, and clicking the registration link. 

  • Online Fundraising Shopping Options—Your supporters can have their orders shipped to your organization with their brochure sales order, or pay a shipping fee and have their orders shipped directly to their homes. Your organization will earn a 40% profit on all sales.

  • Student Success - The key to a successful online fundraiser is to ensure your students register as sellers and use multiple channels to invite their friends and family to shop at your Goodies and Gifts online store. We highly recommend encouraging your participants to send messages on the first day of your sale. Because people are forgetful and may need to be asked more than once before purchasing, we recommend asking your participants to send emails and posts as reminders halfway through your sale. Your sellers should send a "last chance to order" reminder a few days before your sale ends. As a chairperson, sending reminders to participants is key to success.

  • After your traditional brochure selling period  2-3 weeks), collect the order forms and money from your sellers. Deposit the money in your organization's account and submit the order forms to us for processing. We will provide a shipping label for returning your participant's order forms. There are no case requirements for the Heartland Goodies & Gifts fundraiser; order only what you sell!

  • Cut-Off Dates—We highly suggest starting a spring fundraiser in February or March. Early in the season, fundraisers achieve significantly higher participation and sales. Start early to allow enough time to complete your fundraiser and return the brochure order forms before the following cut-off dates. Order forms should be returned via UPS using the provided shipping label or as email attachments.

  • Easter: For delivery before Easter Sunday, order forms need to be returned by March 6th.

  • Mother's Day: To ensure delivery before Mother's Day, your organization must return your order forms by April 17th

  • End of School Year/Spring Sports Season: Allow 3-4 weeks plus transit time after order forms are received for data entry to be completed and the order to be packed, shipped, and delivered. 

  • Delivery: After your order forms are received, allow up to 3 weeks, plus transit time, for data entry and order packing, shipping, and delivery. 

  • Once data entry is complete, we'll email the sales reports and your invoice for the amount due. After reviewing the invoice, you can pay by mailing us a school/business check or money order along with a copy of your invoice. You can also call and pay by Visa or Master Card. We accept purchase orders from public schools under a 15-day payment agreement and will release your order for shipment upon receipt of a valid purchase order.

  • Upon receipt of payment or a purchase order, we will pack your orders, sort them by seller, and ship the boxes to your group.  

  • We encourage you to sell 400+ items; your profit will be 40% with free shipping. For example, 40 students selling 10 items each or 25 students selling 16 items each will receive free shipping. 

  • Profit: Earn 40%

  • Shipping: Receive free shipping on orders of 400+ items!

  • Your organization keeps the profit you earned upfront. We will deduct your online sales profit from the amount due on your brochure sales. Orders shipping directly to a customer's home will ship within a few days. For traditional brochure orders, we aim to ship your Heartland Goodies & Gifts fundraising order within 4 weeks of payment. Please allow an additional 3-5 days for transportation time.

  • To offer a Direct Ship to Home only fundraiser, you can SIGN UP NOW. No one needs to sell face-to-face or use a brochure and order form. Once you submit the online form, we will activate your online store immediately, and you can raise funds until you are ready to close the sale. We will ship each order directly to the supporters. Your group will still earn a 40% profit with our online sales! To increase sales, we recommend including a traditional brochure fundraiser. Call us at 860-384-3691 to request fundraising brochures, and we will link your online sales to your brochure sales.
