Requesting Brochures and Getting Started

To begin your fundraising journey with Heartland Goodies & Gifts, call 860-384-3691 to request brochures. Upon completing your fundraising agreement, we will ship one brochure, an order form, and a collection envelope for each participant. Participants are encouraged to reach out to their family, friends, and neighbors to purchase items from the brochure. Participants collect orders and payments, and supporters have the option to pay electronically online in addition to cash sales.

Participant Letter

We provide a customized participant letter that outlines the purpose of your fundraiser, your fundraising goal, the closing date, and details about payment, including to whom checks should be made payable, if applicable. The letter also lists the contact person for questions, provides instructions for participant registration, includes the online store web address, your Group ID, and offers promotional tips for email, text, and social media, as well as clear steps for customers to place orders.

Promoting Your Online Fundraising Store

Maximize your fundraising potential by leveraging our online store, which offers a wide selection of items and donation options. Online fundraising makes it easy for participants to reach out to family and friends both locally and nationwide. We will set up an account for your organization, supply a unique Group ID for your store, and provide login details for your chairperson’s dashboard. The chairperson will invite participants to register as sellers by visiting the online store, entering the Group ID, and clicking the registration link. Progress can be monitored in real time on the dashboard, and students can earn prize credits for their online sales, if selected.

Online Fundraising Shopping Options

Supporters may choose to have their orders shipped to your organization along with brochure sales or shipped directly to their homes. Your organization will earn 40% profit on all online sales.

Virtual, Direct Ship-to-Home Online Fundraiser Option

You may choose to offer a virtual, direct-to-home online fundraiser—no face-to-face sales or paper forms required. Virtual Online Fundraiser

Ensuring Student Success

Registration as sellers and active participation are crucial to a successful online fundraiser. Encourage participants to send out invitations and reminders on the first day of the sale, and again halfway through. Since supporters may need multiple reminders, it is helpful for the chairperson to send a “last chance to order” message just before the sale ends. Regular reminders from the chairperson are key to achieving fundraising success.

Closing Your Fundraiser

After the brochure-selling period (typically 2–3 weeks), collect all order forms and payments from your sellers. Deposit the funds into your organization’s account and submit the order forms to us for processing. We will provide a shipping label for returning the completed order forms. There are no minimum case requirements—order the exact quantity of each item sold! When scheduling your fundraiser, please contact us regarding cut-off dates for submitting your fundraising order forms to ensure timely delivery for Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Profit, Shipping, and Minimum Order

-    Profit: Earn 40% profit on all sales.
-    Shipping: Free shipping is available on orders of 400+ items. All sellers' orders are individually packed and labeled with each seller's name.
-    Minimum Order: No minimum order required.

Sales Reports, Invoice, and Payment

Once data entry is complete, we will email sales reports and your invoice. Your online sales profit will be deducted from the brochure sales amount owed, or vice versa if your online sales surpass brochure sales. Your organization keeps its profit upfront. Review your invoice and pay by mailing a school or business check, money order, or by calling with Visa or MasterCard (with a fee). Public schools may also pay with a purchase order, which allows for a 15-day payment agreement and shipment upon receipt of a valid purchase order. 
Following payment or receipt of a purchase order, your products will be processed and shipped to your organization. Note: Customer online orders are shipped shortly after they have been placed.
